A great start to 2024

Quick update for you all on what’s been happening at club so far this year and what we have planned up till the summer holidays. It has been a great start to the year, despite the very cold start to the year and the wet months that followed.

In January we had lots of fun over the heath and woods, we learned and practised our skill on the hills and technical climbs, as well as showing off on the glory bumps

Michell and Sharon led the first breeze ride of the year on a very cold Saturday. Despite the cold the ride was well attended by ladies who all enjoyed the ride, along with the coffee and cake which Michelle produced from the heaviest backpack you have every picked up.

February saw the first off site session of the year with a winter ride around Bedgebury forest. It was great to see so many TD rides both young and not so young enjoying the trails and riding together.  We tackled the rock garden; despite the slippery and wet conditions, several rides made it all the way across the section. We also put into practice all the hill climbing  and technical climbs skills we had been working on over the passed couple of months

In March we got the mud and rain. But we kept up and riding, well trying to ride through the mud and puddles, some of the mud got the better of us.

There was a brief glimpse of the sun. Just happened to be the Sunday morning a few of the adults went for a ride up the Thames. Nice ride and coffee thanks Gents.

So what’s to come between now and the summer holidays.
